Discover Polish-Canadian soprano Karoline Podolak (program and pianist to be confirmed).
A member of the Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal, this performer with an extraordinary career path discovered her passion for classical singing during her university studies in radio and television arts in Toronto. She then went to Poland to pursue a master’s degree in classical singing at the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music, where she had the opportunity to participate in several master classes of baritone Mariusz Kwiecień.
Karoline has performed in concert with several ensembles in Ontario and Poland. In November 2019, she made her operatic debut as Zuzia in Moniuszko’s Verbum Nobile at the Silesian Opera, then sang the role of Adele in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus there.
Karoline shone in many competitions: first prize in the Polish Academy of Music tournament at the Grand Theater in Łódź, finalist in the Toronto Mozart Vocal Competition, first prize in the Toronto-Buffalo District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, among others.
