CAMMAC Benefit Concert

Named one of CBC Music’s “30 hot Canadian classical musicians under 30,”, the Cheng2 Duo (pronounced Cheng Squared Duo) continues to be celebrated by audiences and critics alike for its artistic excellence, generous spirit, and compelling vibrancy. The brother-and-sister duo, formed by 21-year-old cellist Bryan Cheng, and pianist Silvie Cheng, have established a reputation for being invited for return engagements at prestigious venues and fest ivals, including Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall (NY), the National Gallery of Canada, the Festival of the Sound (ON), Vermont’s Pro- Concert Series, and Ottawa Chamberfest.

When we first performed at CAMMAC back in 2016 as part of the Musical Sundays Festival, we were immediately struck by the enthusiastic community that welcomed us. As artists whose ultimate mission is to connect with people of all ages, backgrounds, and cultures through music, we believe in the importance of supporting others who share these same values. We look forward to continuing to share the joy of music in partnership with CAMMAC in the many years to come!
– Sylvie and Bryan

The Benefit Concert will be followed by a reception—an opportunity to meet the artists and fellow music lovers from Ottawa and beyond over a glass of wine.

Proceeds from the evening will help support CAMMAC music programs, providing opportunities for people of all ages to experience the joy of making music together in a welcoming, supportive environment.
