Les Découvertes du Café d’art vocal offers a recital by Canadian soprano Emma Fekete (program and pianist to be confirmed).
Originally from Val-d’Or, Emma studied and worked for five years in Amsterdam before joining the Atelier lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal. She pursues a young career on both sides of the Atlantic.

During the 2021-2022 season, she notably took part in the recital of German baritone Matthias Goerne at the Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, interpreted the role of Cécile in Les Liaisonsdangereuses at the Theater Orchester Biel Solothurn, then sang in West Side Story – Live in Concert with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. On this side of the ocean, she gave her first concert with Ensemble Volte in 2019.

Emma holds a master’s degree in classical singing from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and was awarded the Holland Scholarship and the Talent Grant from the Amsterdamse Hogeschool voor de Kunsten.
