Visit the look-out point on Parry Sound’s North Shore Rugged Hiking Trail where Thomson painted Parry Sound Harbour, 1914, stopping as he travelled by canoe from Go Home Bay to Algonquin Park. A plaque marking the spot has been erected to commemorate this historic visit. The Guy Few Brass Quartet will be performing at the site.

Due to the nature of the shoreline in this area, the North Shore Rugged Hiking Trail has been classed as a “rugged use only” hiking trail. Although the plaque is only a short walk from the trail head, it is not an easy walk and may not be suitable for everyone.
