Une soirée musicale comme au temps de la famille Bach. Du père Johann Sebastian on y entend une pièce pour viole de gambe, instrument qui déjà au temps de Bach passait lentement de mode. Les fils Carl Philipp Emanuel et Johann Christoph Friedrich sont de la partie avec une grande sonate virtuose pour clavecin et une sonate galante pour violoncelle et basse continue. Pour compléter le programme on écoute aussi des airs que Johann Sebastian avait inclus dans le Petit livre de son épouse Anna Magdalena qui, dit-on, avait une belle voix de soprano.

Join the Bach family in a very special musical soiree. From the father, Johann Sebastian, we hear a piece for viola da gamba, an instrument which already in Bach’s time was slowly going out of fashion. The sons, Carl Philipp Emanuel and Johann Christoph Friedrich, take part with a virtuoso harpsichord sonata and a galant sonata for cello and basso continuo. To round off the programme we also hear some arias which Johann Sebastian had included in the Notebook for his wife Anna Magadalena, a talented soprano.
