Title: Director of Marketing & Box Office
Hours: 35 hours per week: 9am to 5pm (Extra hours including some evenings during events)
Job Status: Permanent, full time
Start Date: August 31st, 2020
Salary range: $41,860 – $45,500 ($23 to $25/hour) based on experience

The Orchestre classique de Montréal (OCM) is one of Canada’s most renowned and oldest ensembles. For over

particular, Quebec talent.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing & Box Office Director is responsible for all the marketing
components of the organization while overseeing all OCM Box Office operations.

Principal Duties
• Plan and execute the marketing strategy for the entire season
• Oversee the marketing budget and respect its parameters
• Collaborate closely with the Media Relations person
• Work closely with the Graphic Designer for the output of all marketing materials
• Create video clips for social media distribution
• Plan and execute the social media strategy & content (Twiaer, Facebook, Instagram)
• Run the box office operations (Vendini)
• Organize logistics on the day of events for all box office needs
• Support the General Director in various tasks

Requirements
• Knowledge of the classical music industry (essential)
• One year or more experience in a similar job with an arts organization
• Studies in Marketing or related experience with similar organization
• Excellent knowledge of various social media outlets (FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram)
• Be able to create video clips
• Bilingualism: excellent French & English both spoken & written
• Good judgement, diplomacy, honesty and integrity, creativity
• Able to multitask and be a self-starter
• Detail oriented while working quickly
